New country, rented apartment, low ceilings, grey carpet, magnolia walls…. very different space to the previous Prague one. I miss my oak herringbone parquet floor….But you know what? As long as you have your family and your family treasures with you it feels like a home again. It is kind of magical and fun to transform a new space quickly by accommodating your favourite pieces in their new corners, giving them a bit of shuffle. The natural light, the ever changing sea views and closeness to the nature are the masterpieces of the new home. No design or artwork can actually compete with them.
